portrait of a lonely girl

Many times we face difficult situations that shake our lives. We find ourselves in the middle of a fierce storm with winds that hit us and want to break us down.  We all had situations like this and we ask,  but why I’m going through this, I do not deserve this. I want it to stop.

Let´s remember the words of our Teacher, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world. “John 16:33.

We can not control circumstances around us, but it is in our hands how we respond to circumstances. Remember what Jesus did in the midst of the storm:

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves: Silence, Be Still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” (Mark 4:39)

So Jesus ordered the storm to be quiet. YOU have to do the same and silence the thoughts that makes you forget that GOD HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE! (JEREMIAH 29:11)

In the middle of our trials you have to choose between two paths; you can either feel defeated and listen to the negative thoughts that trouble your soul and feeling of  hopelessness, or you can decide that even within your difficulty , you will trust GOD and believe He is in the boat with you and he will not let you drown! You choose.

When we don´t trust God we are like the disciples of Jesus demonstrating a lack of faith. “Why are you so afraid? He said to his disciples. Do you still not have faith? “(Mark 4:40)

Remember Jesus is not outside your boat just watching you sink, he is sailing with you, right there by your side through the storms of life. I can assure you we are secure in all trials, we will never sink!  He is your anchor and your peace!

There are three important things we have to do in the midst of the storm to pass tests:

  •  Number one, silence those thoughts that go against what God has for you. Transform your thoughts of hopelessness and confusion to the promises of VICTORY AND TRUTH that are in HIS word.
  •  Number two, praise God in the midst of trial and DAVID:

“Why am I discouraged?

Why is my heart so sad?

I will put my hope in God!

I will praise him again

My Savior and my God!” Psalms 42: 5

  • Number three, walk by faith even in the middle of the storm, remember it will cease. HE already defeated all our trials on the cross! He resurrected for us! He is on the throne reigning with us!

So look at your circumstances with real eyes, the eyes of FAITH, You already have VICTORY over this storm so receive it!
