As estimated by scientists and reported in the U.S. National Library of Medicine/National Institutes of Health, our body consists of approximately 37.2 trillion cells. But even more amazing is that there are cell specialization and function synchronization to work whenever and wherever our body needs it.
A cell, we start as a single cell with genetic material combined of two human families. When the angel announced to Mary that she would conceive and give birth to the promised Messiah, she agreed to place herself in God’s hands and do his will. I guess in her young mind she could not imagine how God would do it, but soon understood the consequences for which she would be tested. From feeling blessed and chosen by God to facing possible rejection from her future husband and possible death because she would be a mother before marriage. Darkness around her, fear. Mary conceived a child with heavenly and human genetic material. She could not share that joy because no one would believe her, so she went to visit her cousin to share the unusual situation in which she found herself. Before Mary could say a word, her cousin gave an unprecedented salute! (see Luke 1: 26-45).
We cannot understand God’s plan because we think it has to happen the way we know how. Where’s the parallel? Genetically speaking, we are descendants of two human families, but when we accept Jesus into our hearts as Savior and Lord, we have human and heavenly genes. We are daughters of God, co-heirs with Jesus. We remain ourselves because we have free will but our differentiation is: daughters of the living God, co-heirs with Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells in us forever. In 1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” Can we discover the power of God in us? Are you ready to see how God works in your life? Mary being just a young woman decided to listen, believe God and see Him at work. (see Luke 1:46-55)
God’s plan for each of their children has been the same since before the creation, today, tomorrow and forever. Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” God is good, faithful and always keeps the promises to those who love Him. Do you believe?
Difficult circumstances will come to us, FOCUS your eyes on JESUS.
When we fall, if we recognize our mistake and change direction, Jesus takes us in his arms, THANK GOD.
In joy and in sorrow, in faith and in doubt, PRAISE GOD.
