You know my friend; many times I also flooded my pillow with tears. After finishing my busy day, when night came and I was in my room alone with my thoughts; I longed for the advice of my father or the support of my husband.
I do not know how many times you cried my friend, but I can assure you that God has seen your tears as he saw mine. You know that even great men of God, like King David wept bitterly. Read what David said:
“I am worn out from sobbing.
All night I flood my bed with weeping,
drenching it with my tears. “Psalm 6:6
But then, what did the great men of God do when they were discouraged? Look what Daniel did:
“O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.” Daniel 9:18
They prayed! Plain and simple, with humble and sincere hearts they seek God.
Not always do we seek God with a sincere heart. Many times we do it superficially or even maybe not seek him at all. We continue on the same vicious cycle, doing our own will and we cry silently.
Now friends, take a very close look of what God does when you seek him wholeheartedly.
Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. Daniel 10:12
My friend today is the day you pray to God with humble and a sincere heart. And just as God answered Daniel, your Heavenly Father will listen and answer your prayers. I know this, because he dried my tears and answered my prayers.
