Sometimes things do not go as you wanted. You complain, why did that door not open? Why did that person not care? Why did that friend leave you? I want to remind you my friend of this absolute truth; Our God is Sovereign. He is The All Knowing. And not only is he Sovereign, He is LOVE. He has your best interest in mind always. He loves you in such a way that He gave his last breath for you. So do not ever doubt about his love for you.
Now I want to share with you the story about a young man named Daniel who was caught in a dangerous situation but trusted God unconditionally.
“So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to him, “May your God, whom you serve so faithfully, rescue you.” Daniel 6:16
In life, many times we will find ourselves surrounded by lions, dangerous situations that could harm us. Lions can appear in many shapes or forms, “love”, an offer, or even a “friendship”.
Look what happened to Daniel in the den of lions, where he was supposed to get devoured. Daniel replied to King Darius:
“My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me,” Daniel 6:22
Daniel was not harmed; he did not have a single scratch on him. The Almighty God shut the mouths of lions to protect him.
And so this is what many times God does with us, He shuts the mouths of lions in our lives. In other words, He does not allow situations so that we won’t get hurt. So if a door shuts, you don’t get that offer, a friendship ends or a relationship does not develop, trust that God knows what He is doing. Do not worry, your Heavenly Father knows the future and He has your back.
Thank him for his protection and for shutting the mouths of lions! Trust in God like Daniel did.
